Reflections

Gang,

There have been many e-mails submitted over the past several days, all of which reflected positive experiences about our first CF2 Challenge.

Spend some thinking about what truly impacted you the most about the day.

What was inspirational to you? Are there any specific moments in time that will stand out in your mind? Why do you think these moments stand out?

Post your thoughts here.

What impacted me??????
Specific???

I saw a difference in focus and intensity level when Arti, Tiffany and Gino completed their respective Deadlift weights. It showed me what place i need to be in when a competition comes around.
I believe all of us at one time or another have been in a situation ourselves where we have displayed the same sort of intensity as what I saw at the Challenge, but may have forgotten how to get there or what it feels like. Seeing those deadlifts really show me that i was not completely on the level of focus that i needed to be when my momment was upon me.
I was able to video Tiffany and Gino's deadlifts (granded one is more family friendly than the other) and I have posted them on the X: drive under X:/PHOTOS/C2 CROSSFIT/May 07,2010 CF2 Challenge folder.
Watch these videos and you will see the focus and intensity that i know if you were watching me, you would not have seen.

Thank you everyone the effort and smiles, which reminds me that you can accomplish allot when you find the focus and determination you have within yourself to succeed.

For me, being part of a team of a fitness challenge was one of my biggest accomplishment.
Done it once, looking forward for the next one but with even stronger results, which means lot more trainning....

Deadlift, i never imagined i could do 190LBS coz my max was 180LBS,being able to do it in my 2nd attempt and thought in my head i can do 10 more lbs and when i did...i felt great...but goal is to get close to 250lbs by next challenge..

Everyone gave their 100% and it could be seen...but my biggest inspiration was Jess... she was lighting doing PUB, air squats and many other things...I wanna get stronger like that..

Also, i could not do any Push ups & chin ups and only 2 wall ball, felt bad..so next challenge i will make sure i will be able to do some strong reps...

Body still very stiff & sore in areas.

Conducted a good warm up with no weights, just body weight movements.

WOD:
10 rnds for Time:
5 chin-ups
10 push-ups
15 squats

Time: 10:53

Mike said to be under 10mins. Chin-ups were good all the way through. Squats were no problem all the way through. Push-ups after 3rd round became groups of 2, maybe 3. This slowed me down as my arms were dead getting to push-ups.

i just started doing deadlifts the sunday before the challenge so i was really to sure as to were i stood but i think i could have done alot better. Honestly just cheering everyone on and seeing Todd and Gino's teams freakout and hug eachother at the end of the 3rd wod was cool. I had to much adrenaline going and somewhat blackedout (so focused i can't remember). i know that i am really hard on myself and on my performance, i need to work on my confidence levels.
Wod for may 12
20 press - 45#
30 Step Ups - 45#
20 Push Press - 45#
30 Step Ups - 45#
20 Push Jerks - 45#
30 Step Ups - 45#
20 Push up Burpees
Time: 15.38

My arms are not appreciating Mike rightnow.

Tif WOD Wed-
I had to modify my workout a bit today as I couldn't do the Deadlift portion of it. Gino backed me with that choice.

Walking lunges with 20lbs 10 per leg x 3 sets.

Russian Step ups 24 ich box each leg 60 seconds x 2 sets no rest.
Reps R leg 26-17 and left leg 25- 15 this really hurt a lot. My left left gave out the last one. HEHE

GHD 15 x 3 sets.

I would feel this workout in my legs and back. Looking forward to my workout tomorrow.

Todd that's a great post above.
